Amazing place inside beautiful and peaceful favela. Bibi is super nice host. Especially we enjoyed Friday samba party right in front of the hotel!

"Unique experience!"

9.0

A very unique experience to stay in a pacified favela. Bibi, the host, is very welcoming and makes you feel at ease instantly. The rooms are basic but very clean and the breakfast is out of this world! Location is still convenient (not too far away from the main streets and beaches) and very doable on foot. You also have moto taxi’s to get you up if needed. We did not feel unsafe at any time.

We liked everything. I think the only downside is that the rooms only have a fan and no a/c; it was very hot and humid when we were there (December) as a result a/c would have been welcoming.

I am pleasantly surprised by the hospitality of the host Bibi and how she cares about her guest house. While I was on the territory, additional rooms were being renovated (it did not interfere with the rest at all), constant cleaning, everything was perfectly clean. A small but sufficient and tasty breakfast (toast, scrambled eggs, butter, yogurt, muesli, fruit). Lovely, calm and safe place with beautiful view

Only two not very pleasant moments. The road up is difficult and the area is not very clean (but safe) and the internet is also not very good. I think this is due to the location of the house high in the favela, so it's good that there is internet at all, it is enough for simple tasks, but if you are on a workation, then Zoom may not work, or watching movies online.

"If you look out for an charming stay with your boy/girlfriend, you should choose Bibi's place."

10.0

Bibi was an amazing host! The favela near copacabana is 100% safe and when you reach the top (10min) walk, you will have an amazing view of the whole beach. Hand made breakfast included, it simply can't get any better than this in Leme.

Simply nothing.

"It was the best start for my Rio, Ilha Grande and Paraty your Rio journey."

The location is in a small but friendly favela. Nice people and I could walk everywhere + there is a lot of police so I felt save. Also the breakfast was the best I ever had. Very friendly woman and crew!

Nothing everything was good

"Good and real favela experience"

5.0

I liked the room, the bathroom (apart from the clogged drain that gather water on the floor). The sink made from the sewing machine was nice, also the art on the room. The size of the room is good, also the bed. The staff is amazing and the breakfast is delicious (even though I don't like sweet breakfast), made with a lot of love, clearly. The house has great kitchen, living room, outside area, a lot of bats at night flying over us. The mirante is also great.

I made a mistake to think the address on Booking was the correct address. The pousada is a lot inside the favela, which made me feel uneasy. I don't think anything would happen, and the people from Babilônia is so nice and helpful, but the favela "voyeurism" is not my thing. I'm brazilian and I understand the pacification is for "english to see" as we say in Brazil.
