"The Hotel was a reasonable price considering it's location, I would certainly stay there again."

Parking was limited but we were lucky enough to get a space. The room was quite small but clean. The diamond in the rough was the outside seating area. we spent all evening overlooking the beautiful river which runs along the edge of the hotel.

"Very good place to stay"

8.0

We stay in Bourton on the Water overnight in advance of attending RIAT. This place is an ideal location for that and the village is great to walk around. We decided to eat here and were not disappointed.

Breakfast was supposedly served from 8am and wasn't aware that they could have accommodated us with an early breakfast. Good to know for next year as already re-booked.

"A mixed bag - some good, some not so."

6.0

The pub was in an excellent position for the village, overlooking the River Windrush with what would appear to be a newly installed outdoor seating area. Most of the staff were friendly, some slightly less welcoming and a bit off hand - a smile is a very cheap addition to any interaction. Free, off street, parking is available at the rear of the property. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate sachets and biscuits were available in the room together with miniture toiletries. The cooked breakfast was substantial and the bacon was of particularly good quality. Cereals, yoghurt and juice were buffet style with a good selection.

The room (No 5) was quite small and overlooked the street. The shower cubicle and toilet were also quite small, although the shower itself was powerful and nice and hot. The toilet had a macerator system, which worked but was quite noisy. The bed felt like a small double and was genuinely the worst mattress I think I have ever slept on. It was a sprung mattress and I'm sure I could feel every spring. The bounce effect when my husband turned over was akin to the ascent of a very old roller coaster or an earth tremor. A good night's sleep was not too be had unfortunately. The pub is at the cheaper end of accommodation in the area and this is evident in it's standard.

"Good location"

8.0

Location was good, right in the midst of the village. We were using it as a base to attend the RIAT. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was plentiful. Vegetarian options on the evening menu were sufficient, if a little the same in the ingredients used across the dishes offered.

The temperatures on the days we stayed were high, and the rooms were stifling. The provided fans were poor in their ability to move air, and the position of the window above the refuse area meant that opening them allowed the smell to enter. The bed was too hard for me, although my wife found it fine. Rooms are small but generally comfortable.
