Chongos Place

Very quiet location away from the hustle of Fortuna the property has only 3 bungalow which makes it very relaxed. We were two couples and very much enjoyed sitting on the terrace with a view on the volcano or chilling in the pool after a day of activities You definite need a car as it is a 5-10 minutes drive into the city centre The bungalows have some kitchen equipment to make breakfast or cook something simple. Dogs are allowed

Amazing place! It is a little outside the town with an amazing view of the volcano. The property was so relaxing with a pool and shaded areas to hang out. So many birds and a beautiful garden! The actual room was good for sleeping and making simple meals but we spent most of our time outdoors on the property. Would stay again!

Perfect clean fresh cabins! Great nestled in the nature rich hills of fortuna! We we welcomed after a long day of adventure in the area and had a great nights rest!!!

Soooooo Great. Perfect little Casita with comfortable bed and unobscured volcano view from the porch. Host is wonderful. Family friendly, host family has 2 young children. Highly recommend!

I loved everything about this place! Beautiful view of the volcano, beautiful garden, beautiful birds, including toucans very close by. Pool with waterfall was relaxing as was the swing seat on the porch. Close enough to get around La Fortuna and Arenal. Highly recommend!!

Quiet, peaceful location, next to countryside, views of the volcano, lovely small pool to cool off, secure parking area - nearest decent shop restaurants quite a distance if you're walking

Cooking facilities and equipment were limited

The location was perfect for us. Off the beaten path a bit with no traffic noise whatsoever. Being just 2 miles from the base of the volcano was spectacular, unmatched views. The covered porch was a huge asset as you could enjoy the sights and sounds even when it was raining. The host, Diana, was fantastic. Very friendly and responded quickly to any questions we had.

The property next door had some noisy guests, but that's not something Chongos can do anything about. Other than that, there was nothing we didn't like.

The view is amazing. The staff is lovely and helpful. It was clean, the pool was nice, and the garden was great. Loved the little casita, and the location was walking distance to town but quiet.

Lacking hot water in shower, no screens on windows so had to run the ac at night. Room smelled like mold but we couldn’t open the windows at night to air it out.

This little place was very nice. Only three bungalows, and a friendly host. There's a mini-kitchenette where you can do some basic cooking. Very close to the main drag that runs through town and not far from the waterfall.

It is on the small side. The kitchen should have had oil, salt and pepper provided. No microwave.
