Great stay at the clarkeston inn. Went during a very busy weekend (marathon wkend in newport), and central location, easy to walk everywhere including Easton Beach, restaurants, shopping. Charming inn, parking provided, clean spacious room, wonderful staff. Great communication previous to stay and during stay. Would stay here again for sure!

The employees were very nice and good at what they do

it was a farther walk to downtown than I thought. What I don't understand is my booking said pay at time of check in. I received a call for confirmation of arrival time and who I was coming with. When we got there they had already charged the room to my partner. Neither of us ever gave the credit number or consent for that. Also I did not like the breakfast, would rather a continental type.
