Wood Heart

Очень уютный и тихий отель (собаки не воют, будочники не ездят, птицы не кричат- можно выспаться). Всё чисто и аккуратно, чувствуется забота о гостях. Хозяева просто чудесные, создаётся ощущение, будто приехал в гости к родственникам 🫶 Завтраки ланкийские, очень вкусные, разнообразные и сытные. В номере не было насекомых. Ну и отдельная любовь - это вид с балкона, он просто обалденный! Спасибо Рекомендую

The room and view were five star. Sitting on the balcony at breakfast, that's the best view I've ever had for a breakfast. The rooms were large, modern and really nice. Good aircon. Good breakfast.

This isn't a hotel, but four rooms with balconies in a village on the side of a valley overlooking Ella and managed by the owners who live in an adjoining house. The big issue with Wood Heart is accessing the rooms. To get to the rooms, you have to go down one long set of steep concrete steps, past a construction site, and then down another set of steep and uneven concrete steps with no handrail. Don't even think of taking heavy bags down to the room yourself - you need the owners of the house to arrange that. Not suitable at all for older people or anyone unsteady on their feet. The other negative is that although on the map it's close to Ella, it's a long winding road to walk to Ella and really you need to get a tuk tuk to get into town, or alternatively you can walk alongside the railway track at the bottom of the valley - but make sure you know how to get back (no signs going back) and make sure to get back before nightfall. I wouldn't recommend walking into Ella along the railway track, although we did it.

Die Aussicht ist unfassbar schön. Mit der Sonne aufzuwachen und denn Sonnenaufgang durch die große Glasfront zu beachten ist wunderschön. Auch das üppige Frühstück auf dem Balkon ist lecker. Das Bett ist sehr angenehm und wir waren froh nach vielen unbequemen Betten endlich eine gute Matratze zu finden.

Es ist leicht außerhalb, man kann aber in 15 Minuten über die Bahngleise im Zentrum sein. Allein für die Aussicht lohnt es sich.

The best accommodation in Ella i think! We had a room viewing a waterfall. A waterfall! Not close, obviously, but across the valley, but still mesmerizing! The host is super nice, we didn't have adapter and he lent us his own. The breakfast was served in the terrace and it's one of the best breakfasts we had in Sri Lanka. Every day something different and very tasty! The house is situated out of the noice Ella main street but it's easy to go on foot, around 7 min, or by tuk tuk. Highly recommended

What a wonderful spot. Lovely family. Quiet and peaceful haven, with incredible views. Feast of a breakfast, sets you up for the days adventures. Easy to walk into Ella via the train track, if you're up for a 15 minute walk. We walked both into Ella and back, during the day and late at night, with zero issues.

Nothing to dislike.

The breakfasts were plentiful and staff were very accommodating. We had our laundry done here for a very reasonable price.

Not so much an issue for us, but worth knowing the accommodating has to be accessed down a number of stairs, passing other properties

Įspūdingas vaizdas pro langą, skanūs pusryčiai, puikus šeimininkas. Vieta įrengta naujai. Iki miestelio galima nueiti per 15 min peščiomis arba kviesti tuktuk'ą.

Nádherné místo - pokoj Delux měl nádherný výhled a krásnou koupelnu. Snídaně byla úžasná a rodina je neskutečně milá a nápomocná. Všichni byli tak přátelští a snažili se nám ve všem vyhovět. Pokud hledáte ubytování v Elle - tohle je úžasné.

Někomu mohou vadit schody ale ty jsou v Elle všude😄
