Greeted by another wonderful Sri Lankan host, we were shown to a very large, clean, and comfortable room. Our own balcony shaded by Bougainvillea was home to many small birds. Our delightful and plentiful Srilankan breakfast was brought up to our balcony. Mountain Nest was a short walk to the Kandy lake and not too far to walk to the Temple of the Tooth , Buddhist museum , and the center of Kandy Town. Wonderful stay and highly recommended!

All good but be aware of short, sharp incline up to the property.

We really enjoyed our stay in Mountain Nest. We stayed for two nights and we could reach the centre of Ella in a few minutes by walking. The rooms were incredibly clean and the hosts were so friendly. The view when enjoying breakfast is perfect with the morning sun. Definitely recommend!

Tough climb from road to rooms. 20 metres of very sharp gradient to navigate. Nice location. Away from hustle and bustle but a 5 minute walk to bars restaurants etc. Our shower room not the best. Bonfire out the back caused strong smell like 5th November wafting in through w/c window. Nice seating area outside room with nature views. All in all we enjoyed our 3 nights there. Shame about the shower.
