La posada es preciosa, en medio de la naturaleza, rodeado de verde y los sonidos del mar y animales. La instalación era incluso mejor de lo que se aprecia en las fotos, estaba muy limpia y cuidada. Jona nos atendió excelente, atento, simpático y nos ayudó tanto en la recepción, como en la explicación de los diferentes servicios y sitios que queríamos ver en Mazunte. Totalmente recomendable.

I found Nuuna to be a very special place, brought to life by Johna’s warm presence and fresh vision for his family’s business. The cabanas are spacious, artful, and modern, blending harmoniously with their environment. I appreciated the organic materials used in the whole place, the many curves, open spaces, and lack of hard walls separating inside from outside. The top cabana has a tree house feel, airy and bright during the day and cozy at night with the wooden doors closed and soft lighting. Having a (spotless) well stocked and functional kitchen was a real bonus for me as it’s not been easy finding places around Mazunte /Zipolite where I can cook for myself. Plenty of pots, dishes, a blender, spices, room in fridge, and drinking water are all available. The location is excellent from my perspective, being just a few minutes walk from the calm and beautiful Mermejita beach where the best sunsets are, and ten minutes from Punta Cometa where I watched three incredible sunrises. Town is close but far enough not to hear the noise or have any traffic. There is a hill to climb- but it’s how you get to be in such a peaceful environment! I would recommend coming here if you are fond of being immersed in nature and you can go with the flow of life happening around you and be a part of that flow. As others have said, the sounds don’t have a barrier, so you will hear what is going on all around. Most of the time that is birds singing and the ocean’s hum, perhaps bring ear plugs for other instances as well as mosquito repellent for the hours around sunset when the little vampires come out for dinner. I will remember my time there as it was unique in the warm simplicity created by the combination of feeling so welcome and immersed in the unique ambiance of the place itself.

Wonderful place with special design where the bedroom opens on two sides to the balcony that accommodates the washing sink, toilet and the traditional shower (you manually pull water on yourself). The manager was extremely helpful in mitigating issues that the owner should have taken care of)

The day I arrived there was no electricity and the problem had already existed for more than a week (I don't think it was appropriate to rent out without electricity as there was no light, no internet etc and the kitchen could not be used at all - major deficits that reduced the positive impression immensely)

Well, we stayed for three days and there was no electricity during the whole stay. I am usually ok with that but not when you are paying for it and creates some logistic challenges. It was a problem with this place only. Neighbouring places had power. We were promised it was going to get fixed several times but this never happened. Also, forget about privacy here. People in one of the cabins was extremely noisy at 2 am and since the cabins have no real walls, it was not so good, specially since they have rules around quiet time, but there is no staff around that time in the premises. Also, the place is supposed to have an eco vibe but you cannot refill your water bottle in the kitchen you can only drink it there. I understand that the water costs, but this could be added to the price of the stay so we don't need to keep buying more plastic bottles.

We loved our stay at Nuuna. It’s a special place right next to playa mermejilita. You sleep in a beautiful cabana outside in the middle of nature. Johna made our week there a huge succes. He is a really warm and welcoming person and you can ask him anything. Thumbs up for the coconut shower it is awesome!
