The property was lovely and my room was very nice and spacious. The entire property is really beautiful and clean, located right on the water. The hotel is centrally located and walking distance from everything.

The only downside is on the weekend, cars driving by late at night played music extremely loud until very late. This is not the property's fault, but it does affect their guests. Hopefully the town can do something out it.

Very noisy.. very very noisy..late night partying in the street on front of our room..11pm..1:30 pm..day and night.. very difficult to get a good night's sleep ..sidewalks on various city streets in poor condition..unsafe to walk on...hammock broke and I fell hard .unsafe

Pretty much everything was a disappointment. The hotel was dilapidated, and the room was dark, dingy, hot water was rarely available, it felt dirty and was dirty. Sit on the filthy red couch and you are half way to the floor and getting up is a trick. you have to lean to a side and roll forward. Seriously! I can't grasp how someone could give this place a positive review accept for the location, well kind of. This is located near the spot where the local young kids drink beer and play extremely loud music and often till the wee hours of the morning. There seems to be a contest of who can play their music the loudest and some of these attendee's had huge speakers in the trunk of their car or truck. Cleaning the room required a request which I gave and I was told not everybody wants there room cleaned everyday. After a week, I finally got my sheets changed only because I asked the cleaner as she was leaving if she did that and then she left to get the sheets. The kitchen utensils and accessories were horrific (You can't imagine), three of the wall sconces didn't work, the bed was uncomfortable. The gate to get in is something I have never seen before and is bizarrely awkward. You can enter and exit thru the office but it is uncommon for someone to be there. I am at a loss for words to describe this establishment. The only logical reason for the condition of this place is the owner is psychic and knows a Tsunami is coming and it will wipe out their hotel and therefore there is no reason to make any improvements or maintenance. Sounds farfetched? You haven't stayed in this hotel. It is worse then I have explained. I am a serious traveler. I have flown over three million miles. I have stayed in 1,000 hotels in 80+ countries. I have paid from 5 cents (Pakistan 1968} to many thousands a night. This room cost me US$191. With every bad experience there is a good story.

Sukasa’s staff is great as is their location. We highly recommend this place.

We loved the proximity to the sea and the historical center. Also loved the casita with a full kitchen and hot shower. They also give you free use of a beach cruiser bicycle. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

On weekend evenings (Fri, Sat, Sun) the locals park up-and-down the Malecon with VERY loud music playing VERY late into the wee hours. It's quite disruptive to sleeping, the boom boom shakes the casita all night long and into the early morning. NOTE: this is not the Management's fault. There's nothing to be done to improve the situation 😑

The facility was adorable complete with thatched roof, fully functioning kitchen and comfortable king bed. The gardens were lovely. Excellent security and location. Everything was within walking distance.

Since it is right on the malecon, people like to party and blast their radios right outside. So if you are looking for peace and quiet, this place is not for you.
