Ang Lee Holiday Stay

Erg vriendelijk personeel. Kamers waren groot en ruim. Alles was erg schoon. Je kon gebruik maken van het gratis ontbijt in de ochtend. Als je de deur uitstapt dan sta je al op het busstation, erg handig als je de dag later doorreist.

Het was wat lastig te vinden. De buurt waar het hotel ligt ziet er achterstallig uit.

De accommodatie ligt bij de bushalte, erg handig als je met het ov door Borneo reist. Wij sliepen aan de achterkant en hadden geen last van de bussen. Kamers zijn ruim en bedden zijn comfortabel. We mochten gratis gebruik maken van de wasmachine.

Near to jetty

It was extremely noisy as it was next to a bus station and a pack of stray dogs lived there. I had requested a quiet room and got one facing the station. Non stop noise, especially barking and dog fights all night long. Communication was poor as they never actually replied to some of my enquireries and had to be prompted for others. I would not recommend this place.

Considering the surroundings, this apartment was a good surprise. As a westerner, one must take a deep breath to step into Semporna but this hotel is pretty good.

The bathroom was too hot. The AC took a while to cool the room but in the end it was good

Location is good. Everything is near by. Short walk to the jetty, supermarket and restaurants. And It's next to the bus station. Quiet at night. There is also free bottle water and coffee available.

You can do your laundry for free, witch is great! But washing powder was finish.

Clean, good value for the price, and pretty close to the touristic center, nice breakfast (only 10 RM per day), friendly staff. Well, it is not a luxury hotel, but in Semporna, you can hardly expect more. Just a bed and shower for night stay between trips to the fantastic islands. Also surprisingly, no early callings from a neighbouring mosque!

The environment just outside of the stay is rather chaotic and dust flying, like a local bus station or something. And you should be aware of the environment of Semporna town. It is not a problem of the stay.
