The property looked very picturesque externally

The bed was very uncomfortable. The room specifically the bathroom was not very clean. Breakfast finished too early especially considering we were there for a leisurely stay. The hot breakfast was already finished and we were made to feel very uncomfortable with the vacuum cleaner being pushed around us whilst we had a coffee

Fijne rustige locatie. Goed eten, ook bij de buren trouwens.

Internet/WiFi op de kamer (4) was slecht. Aldaar ook geen 4/5G signaal. Even naar buiten of boven invade bar gaan zitten, daar is wel goede WiFi.

Gorgeous old pub/hotel recently refurbished. Lovely ambience, stunning setting, historical building and beautiful room with very very comfy bed. Everything was just perfect. Felt very safe and secure as a solo female guest. I was lucky enough to have a separate bath as well as a shower - a stunning room. The staff were welcoming and friendly, particularly Ffion who checked me into my room and served dinner. Really sweet girl. The main restaurant is just breathtaking with huge glass walls/windows and views over open countryside but I ate in the bar for the two nights I stayed as it was less formal and cosier for a lone diner. Beautiful open fire! Having all the satellite channels on TV in my room was an added bonus, as was the quiet, peaceful setting - although I did visit mid-week and it may well be busier at weekends. Plenty of room for parking too. I have family in the greater area and a lot of past connections to Maesteg so will definitely return and will bring my husband next time.

This pub/restaurant is in one of the most beautiful locations you could wish for. Panoramic views over the valley, sensitively restored building with wonderful rooms that have been carefully designed in keeping with the building - amazing.

One small point and not in relation to the building or staff. I am disabled and there are steep steps down from the carpark to the building and steep steps with a turn up to the rooms. It would be good to have a notice if you do have mobility issues, but I wouldn't let this stop you from visiting.

Mooie locatie in een klein buurtschap. Bed wat krap als je samen reist maar voor mij erg comfortabel. Het restaurant is populair bij locals.

In het restaurant is het lawaaierig. Stenen vloer, geen stoffering om geluid te dempen. Zoek een tafel in het oude pand.

Really nice place to stay, thoroughly enjoyed. Staff were amazing. Food was amazing. Scenery was amazing. Would definitely return again.
