Rock Inn Bailan

Hostel is run by an expat German and his Thai wife. Several huts are spread in a lush greenery. Bungalows are of different standard. I selected the cheapest one - it was a two-storey cottage with WC / shower with hot water downstairs and sleeping cabin and small balcony on first floor. The equipment was basic - just bed, fan and some shelves for clothes, but it was enough. WiFi perfectly operating. The cabin is seal, so if you keep door closed no mosquitos are inside. Windows are provided with nets. Generally, this area in January was not affected much by mosquitos. At the reception desk there is an electric kettle for free use. The owner prepares meals upon request. The owners are cat and dog lovers - they have 6 friendly cats and a small chihuahua-like dog. Cats sometimes enter the huts looking for cuddles. The location is very convenient - 5 min walk to the beach fringed with trees giving a shadow and clear, warm water good for swimming. A number of restaurants serving delicious Thai food and some grocery shops are nearby. Laundry, massage, tour operator and ticket booking office are also at a walking distance. Highly recommended place to stay.

I like the location, this is very quiet place in the jungle. The bed is comfy, there is hot shower, toilet paper and small fridge. The terrace is also nice. It's very windy place that's why not hot even without AC. The owners are nice people, they also have bikes for rent and coffee. They have 3 nice cats which protecting the area from snakes😁

This is the jungle, you should be ready for ants, bugs and another insects.

Good location for Bailan beach, and local restaurants. Just a taxi ride to get anywhere else. Wasn’t noisy at night. Rooms are good, very private, clean. Bed was comfy. Good lay out to put belongings.

The fan was a bit noisy.

Everything was correct. Is clean, a nice garden. Close to a beach and good restaurants. Cant expect more for the price Only a bit noisy from the Road ..

The noise of the road

It was tucked into the jungle my room view was in the garden attached to the jungle. It was quiet, clean and peaceful. I felt at peace.

Nothing it was value for money . The land lady was kind and had lots of friendly cats and a dog . Husband is from Germany a little distant, but maybe that’s just who he is. Basically you are left alone with no hassle. Not like some guests houses hassling you to do trips etc. Very, very quiet place. A beautiful beach just over the road and a good restaurant 1 minute walking distance, well there are a few but one I used was fantastic food , cheap and always busy.
