The Darnley Arms

Such a clean little hideaway. Everything looked fresh and new. We only needed a place to lay our head but would happily use for a couple of nights base. Very clean bathroom, towels provided, plenty of room, places to hang clothes and there were tea and coffee facilities, we like the Darnley for food so it’s a great base for coming back too as well. Didn’t eat on this trip but we have ventured there for dinner and drinks a on many occasions.

The steps up were rather slippery especially as it was October so everything remains damp. Our room was over the road so you could here the cars but this is a small village so it didn’t effect sleep or anything else.

We loved the property, the room was big, bed was comfy & it was clean. The area it was in was picturesque. The staff were all lovely. Food was amazing. Could not fault it & would definitely go back

Could do with a full length mirror in the room.

Great shower and friendly atmosphere
