The room was small but clean. The location was good, there was a nice business lunch cafe nearby, as well as a bus stop to the city center.

I didn’t like the noise. My room was on the second floor, and all night long, someone was walking above us. It was so loud that it made it impossible to sleep. Additionally, I could easily hear the neighbors on both sides of our room. Moreover, I couldn’t find the air conditioning remote, and by morning, it became too hot. After just one night there, I was completely exhausted. Another issue was that we had booked the room for two people, but there were only towels and amenities for one. By the time we noticed, it was too late to call a staff member. As for breakfast, most of it wasn’t included. Some items were available for free, but for others, you had to pay extra.

The hotel has a certain cozy style, and the room had a particular atmosphere. Is nothing like the cheap standard rooms of the major hotel networks. Finally I met the first receptionist with good English. She is really an asset in Kazakhstan. The rest of the staff was also kind. The breakfast, and the dining room itself, was also a nice experience.

The TV was not working. The staff wasn't able to start it. Actually 4 out the 5 hotels I stood in this country, had the same issue. For me it was not an important issue. The Internet, same to the other the hotels I mentioned, was sometimes weak.

Very comfortable bed, big room with amenities and temperature in room easy to control. Spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly. No fluent English speakers but they took the time to understand me. I felt welcome. Overall a high quality accommodation throughout.

Breakfast was OK but not great. A smaller but higher quality selection would be better! Some problems with hot water in shower but I didn't report it as it did not bother me. Location was a bit far from the centre if you are on foot.
