Firehouse Inn

Nice location in downtown Barre. Ate dinner at the restaurant downstairs, which had good food and excellent service.

Curtains didn't stay shut and the light kept shining in our eyes in bed. Adding blinds would be helpful.

It is a unique property. The features of the firehouse are features both in the rooms and restaurant. The food in the restaurant was very tasty.

It is on a busy street. The town was up early, but it is part of staying in town.

The staff was very rude and when called to discuss with management excuses were made instead of trying to make it better.

The bedroom windows could use more privacy. The see through drape let's people in the building next door look right in. The apartment itself is comfortable and well maintained.

It was Labor Day, so everything was closed. That would be okay. But everything (reception) is on your own. If anything goes wrong, you are on your own. Didn't care for that. Homeless people around. One homeless woman was defecating in the corner of the building on the way into the parking lot.

The atmosphere is very charming and the historical displays interesting.

The entry to the upstairs kind of greasy. Stairway dark.
