Old, worn cheap bedding and towels. Hotel looks run down - see photo of entrance door. No wardrobe. Very poor lighting. Windows filthy and one was broken - photo. Couldn’t open windows. Very noisy, above public bar and on Main Street. Could hear cars as junction just below hotel window, so had difficulty sleeping. Difficulty parking told to park in bays allocated to church next door but reprimanded by those going to church. Public restrooms next to hotel rooms so trail of people passing door.

Location was perfect for being central to activities in VT. Drove in from Boston Logan and it was a beautiful easy drive. The room was comfortable, the check in was easy (they were SO accommodating when we had a later arrival than expected). It was super fun staying in this really cool historical building too. Lots of fun pictures and artifacts to look at in the hallways. Convenient having a restaurant and bar downstairs. We loved the food and service. Bed was comfortable, room and bathroom were spacious (we were in the Captain's Suite).

I don't think we had A/C and it got a little warm and muggy at one point. But the ceiling fan did a great job of cooling off the room so we were fine.

Charming old firehouse - room was clean and spacious. Conveniently located for the purpose of our trip, attending a relative graduation at Norwich University.

1. Parking área access is not the best, full of pot holes and muddy. 2. Definitely not very handicap friendly - no elevator - rooms are located on the second floor and to access you must use a set of very steep stairs. This needs to be very clearly advertised, it wasn’t. 3. Entry access to the rooms is either through the Ladder Restaurant or right by side of the property on the entry way to the parking area which was filled of mud and water filled potholes due to the seasonal rain. If you have a suitcase on rollers you better carry it on your shoulders. It also takes you past the kitchen of the Ladder Restaurant, not very inviting. Certainly an area for improvement.

It’s unique, cool to be staying in a firehouse. Clean, convenient, everything was exactly as they said it was. Very hospitable.

I loved the convenience of being able to have dinner right within the place where we were staying. Our room was very spacious, and the bathroom was huge! I really enjoyed the "ambiance" of the historic building.

Really, everything was wonderful, but, it did take a while for the hot water in the shower to heat up.

Loved the firefighting history - articles, pix, equipment. Was very genuine and well done.

Huge place, unique in upstairs of old firehouse, super clean, modern with historic charm, and great restaurant downstairs. You check in at the bar and they personally show you to your room. Will stay there again.

Nothing to complain about, maybe build a closer breakfast restaurant
