Whistling Winds Motel

Same apartment as in many years past-#12. A beautiful vase of fresh flowers was on a table. Hand crafted stone gas fireplace still there and still worked. Wood paneling, put in board by board years ago, still gleamed warmly. A step back in time to when craftsmanship was the norm. Still fiercely maintained and still so beautiful. Comfy couch and upholstered chairs, area rugs so watching TV and reading was so enjoyable. All was in a warm, slow down and relax way. Great frig, stove and oven, microwave and coffee perk machine. Great shower, too. Walked to our chosen restaurants every evening. Crazy wind, but we were snug in our queen bed that was firm enough but not too hard. Had forgotten how special this beautiful inn is. “She Who Rules”, the manager, keeps everything clean and tidy and runs a tight ship. So kind, but you relax, knowing she is always vigilant. And, for us, the best: no pets. I could breathe. And, the precious wood floors, the rugs, the furniture remain a gentle, glowing reminder that beauty still exists. Thank you, Whistling Wind. You rejuvenated us!

The location was very easy to get to, it was perfect for us. When we went to the casino the shuttle picked us up and bought us back without any problems.

The room was spotless, these people care about your stay being clean and pay attention to wiping every surface, the women who checked us in was very kind and the check in process was very easy, at night they burn a cute fire for guests to hang out and location was so great, right by the beach.

The bed was so squeaky, every movement made the bed squeak, itching my foot or head woke up my partner because of the squeaking of the bed frame. Also the wifi is and any air conditioning is basically non existent.

Fantastic stay!!! This place is an absolute gem. The cabin was cute, clean and had everything we needed. Very short walk to the beach.

It was a quaint little hotel in a nice part of Lincoln city close to the beach. The room was clean. I appreciated the in room coffee. We had no problems while staying here. Staff was good about me traveling with a service animal.

When booking it was nearly impossible to tell the details of the room, I was reserving. It was much smaller than I expected. There was no way to cool the room down and it was way too hot! It was also a little moist. The shade on the door window was in operable. There was no good way to get the room dark enough for me to sleep soundly.
