Mountain Quest Inn

Loved the breakfast.

This was quite a different experience to most hotel stays that we've had. It's located on a working farm, and the setting is absolutely delightful, located in the hills of West Virginia. Our room was clean, and well presented. Beds were comfortable, and we got two good nights sleep during our stay. The staff that we met were most charming, and we were made to feel very welcome. The included breakfast was very adequate for someone like myself, who "doesn't do breakfast." If you are looking for a quiet place to get away from it all, this is an ideal location.

Through absolutely no fault of the hotel, there NO cell phone coverage at the location, there is also NO WiFi at the hotel, so the only way to get any Internet connection is via a wire in your room, which may or may not be compatible with your laptop.There is also NO cable or satellite TV reception in the rooms, just one TV in a communal room. Also! Be warned, as we unfortunately found out to our cost, the only nearby eatery, Dean's Den, which is around half a mile away from the hotel is ONLY open from Thursday through to Sunday. Any other days, there's NOTHING to get any food nearby, without going on a 21 mile each way trip to Marlinton. Having driven twisty mountain roads all day to get to the hotel on a Wednesday, I certainly didn't want to drive another 42 miles to get a meal, so we ended up a bit hungry! 😔.

The location, quietness, nature and privacy.

Breakfast was not good enough. Quantity of egg was not good. More amenities should have been there. There was only 1 nearby restaurant.

Remote destination with beautiful sunrise and photo walk round the farm , just stunning. This area has no mobile phone reception and it's 20 miles to Marlington for Dinner . Eat before you get here

A few sockets not working in the room I was in but other than that if you want remoteness this is it .

The room was nicely appointed. Local information was made available in the room. It was quiet!!!

Breakfast didn't start until 8am. I had to leave at 7am.

Quiet, very clean , large rooms, comfortable bed! Great a/c, breakfast included , great views - great place to get away from it all - am coffee on the front porch withthe ponies !!!
