Freeport Wine Country Inn

Felt like we were in another state

The staff was not welcoming when we arrived and made us wait awhile before checking us in. The room was not the cleanest and felt out dated. The bed was not sturdy and very cheap wood frame queen bed. The heater did not go higher than 65 degrees and just blew cold air out.

The chance to meet the owners and winemaker Marnie and John Carvahlo was a very special component of this stay. We learned so much about the area, the winemaking industry and the history of the California delta. The food and wine at the inn were excellent and reasonable, as well.

Nice and clean, cozy Inn. But the Wi-Fi was very weak. We didn’t have it in 4 days we stayed there. Marnie offered us to change to other room but we didn’t like to repack our stuffs and didn’t like that smaller room. Thanks Marnie for the hospitality and kindness. Sincerely, Tina & Harvey

The weak Wi-Fi

Marnie and John were a gem… very hospitable and always looking to make your stay even more comfortable. I would highly recommend the lamb burger it was very delicious ❤️

Everything was excellent

Large spacious room, clean, good bed and lighting. When renovations are complete this will be a very smart looking place. But it isn't at present.

Tiny shower and the junk around outside made it look like there were a lot of vagrants around ( there wasnt). Would be nice to have a chair to relax on.

Location was close to freeway and easy to find, but not too noisy. There was plenty of parking.

Property is in the midst of renovation with scaffolding up all around the building. No access to balcony or patio due to construction. No Wifi available and no cable TV - antenna only. None of this information was offered at the time of booking. Smoke alarm present, but no indicator lights were on so not sure if it was working. Thermostat on AC did not work well.
