Freeport Wine Country Inn

Close to I-5

I thought I booked with private shower, but we had a bath tub with shower in our room. The sheets were very thin and kept coming off from the mattress. Self check in with code is ok.

Big space in the room, it was very quiet, liked the jacuzzi tub,

The tv channels were not very clear to watch, the parking really sucked when they had an even going, there is no worker to be found the following day (monday) it was like we were the only person in the whole hotel!! No joke. You have to go into the bar area to check in the tub is very old, and very loud. It makes the place as 4.0 i definitely would make it that high more like a 2.0 kinda stay.

I enjoyed the bottle of wine I purchased and the jacuzzi bath. it took me awhile to figure out how the TV worked but once I did that was relaxing. it was helpful to have blinds on the windows to keep out the heat.

There wasn't much to not like. I did experience a few ants crawling on the bathroom sink but I brought that to the staff attention and they gave me something to use, that was helpful.

Wonderful host, so friendly! Great to arrive before 6pm and find the wine bar and restaurant open, with excellent food. Spa tub in room was a delightful change from the ordinary.

The spa tub is dated, a little funky around the edges. Bed was ok, though it felt a bit cheap. The view from our room looks out on an RV park on one side, and across a field and freeway to Walmart. Could use curtains to cut the lights that come through slats in the blinds. Clutter in the hallway.

Freeport is family owned which is a plus for me. It is located very close to an event I participate in annually This is my second stay there

The only thing I would suggest is adding a comfortable sitting chair to the room somehow.

Loved the location, the room was clean, bed was comfy, bath was big, hosts were friendly and accommodating. Not your typical "hotel" sign in. You just check your email for entry, after registering online, find your room number, done! Excellent!!! Marnie and Jon suggested the Freeport Bar and Grill next door. What a treat. Cool "local" bar vibe, cute restaurant with new covered outdoor dining, amazing food and great choices of wine and beer. I highly recommend the fish and chips. Delish!

No real TV programs to watch, so I just signed I to Peacock and watched one of my series.

Location was great for being close to the freeway and meeting my friends for dinner at the Grill next door.

There was no staff on site ever and that was a bit strange. I didn't care for climbing in and out of the deep spa tub to take a shower, in fact my husband slipped and fell when he got out.
