The location is amazing, and this is why we came back.

Breakfast was correct, on the skimpy side. We requested an extra pillow -- the lady at reception said she would send it, it never arrived. Bathroom was separated from living area by a thin curtain, and this was a room for 5 adults. Hot water was not always available. Lunch and dinners were offered, but they were not good value for money. Finally, AmEx and local cards were not accepted as payment.

Not everything was in working order or available because it was apparently off season, however the booking did not indicate that it was not in season or what changes we might expect ahead of the visit. The hot-tub and outdoor shower had broken last minute which was understandable but weren't fixed for the duration of our stay. The regular morning surf classes had ended due to the off season visit - again this was not explained ahead of arrival. In terms of accommodation, it was aging. The small dome we stayed in had mould in the bathroom, broken curtain ties and was not very clean. Some corners where the roof material is tied on were unacceptably dirty. The log steps up to my mother's dome were disintegrating, so much so she struggled when walking in and out. While we understand the Big Bang food menu is limited, it is over priced and portions were small.
