The Riverside Inn

A nice room that did not sacrifice comfort for tradition: nestled up in the roof the room could have been cramped and hot, but careful layout and a good air-conditioner made for a restful night.

Location was perfect for us, the room was very spacious and clean and had everything we needed Bed was really comfy, staff really attentive and friendly, value for price was great

We stayed in room 3 and the people above us got up really early and was walking around and the floor was really creaky so woke us up and we couldn’t sleep until they left as it was really loud but unfortunately You get 2 pillows which is great but as they were really flat it felt like one pillow

Easy to book. Lovely greeting when we arrived. We had prebooked and paid our parking in the car park opposite but were informed by our host that the car park had been taken over by the council the previous week. She rebooted everything for us there and then. Took the stress away. Our case taken up to our room. Nice beer, lovely decked garden area at rear. Our room was lofty, spacious and very well appointed. Clearly hundreds of years old and retained its character including huge beams etc but furniture and decor tastefully bang up to date. Lunch outside on Saturday very fresh and tasty. Good value. We will definitely stay here again Thank you John
