The Riverside Inn

Splendid room a little tired but perfect for us 😊 and the staff were lovely, plus its a pub/restaurant so able to have a pint or two and lunch.👍😊👍

Could have done with a bedside light on both sides, but it was only one night, so probably being picky..👍

Bed was comfy, staff were lovely and the room had quite a few lovely amenities. Coffee and a kettle, a small sofa to sit and do work on. Very spacious and lots of room. Very clean. Was nice to have a soak in the bath.

The shower was... odd. I am 5'8" and because it's in the top of the building, the roof is pitched and you can't stand and shower. My shoulder touched the roof! I hurt my back 3 weeks ago and hunching over is really difficult for me - so showering was a challenge. The parking is also a bit challenging. Parking is directly accross the street, and you have to pay (which is fine) - but it ends at 5 a.m. - so you have to wake up at 4:55 and book in for parking again because you can't pay ahead.

I was lucky as other occupants weren’t loud but given it is an old building noise travels through floors so it could be noisy , unlike more modern hotels. Though the ambience more than makes up for it and I was fine

It is old; floor boards are noisy The recommended car park, opposite, is under new management. Expensive. Time slots are not helpful.

Big room with nice vibe. Very comfy bed, plenty of storage. Easy access and exit. On-site restaurant. Cheap parking close by and 10 min walk to city centre. Exceptional value given all the above.

Lighting could be better: hard to read. My room was at top of stairs and bath/shower was under the sloping roof. I'm not tall but had to kneel in bath to have a shower - not a problem for me but not suitable for anyone with even modest nobility problems. Restaurant menu was quite uninspiring.

Character property and friendly staff spotlessly clean with every facility you need. Massive tv and coffee pods with A/c

This is an old creaky pub and can be noisy during licensing hours.

Beautiful setting, great location and wonderful building. Food was fantastic too.

Staff were very pleasant. I didn't spend much time here apart from sleeping as i had long days out.

Unable to stand up in the shower
