this little homestay was exactly as advertised: budget-friendly, private, and right in the heart of sidemen. the balcony view was insane - rice fields and mountains stretching as far as the eye could see. amazing! the good: * location: tucked away in a quiet corner, perfect for escaping the crowds. * balcony: the star of the show! incredible views, perfect for relaxing and soaking it all in. * room: basic but comfortable, with a comfy bed and a smart tv for movie nights. * privacy: no on-site staff meant complete peace and quiet. overall: if you're on a budget, love stunning views, and don't mind a few insect visitors, this place is a gem. just be prepared for the rustic charm and pack some insect repellent! who would love it: budget travelers, nature lovers, adventurers who should skip it: luxury seekers, clean freaks, anyone with a phobia of creepy crawlies

the not-so-good: * accessibility: the alleyway leading to the place was a motorbike-only challenge, not for the faint of heart! * bugs & critters: being surrounded by nature meant sharing your space with various creepy crawlies. not for the squeamish! * bathroom: the outdoor bathroom wasn't the cleanest and got soaked during rain. * amenities: aircon wasn't powerful enough, and wifi was a bit weak.

Beautifull views and nice room. The massage are really really good, very relaxing.

Yudi & his family are amazing. This property is perched on the side of a valley with a picturesque view below & across. It is in a quiet location & a short walk from a couple of nice local warung but only a scooter journey (2 mins) from some really good central places both up & downhill. The outdoor bathroom is a very nice addition & the room is quite spacious and comfortable. I will be back upon my return to Sidemen.

Absolutely nothing

Just amazing.

Amazing view 🤩 Waking up in front of the rice terraces is a privilege! Good location in the center of sidemen. Good breakfast with choice between continental or Indonesian. Possibility to rent a scooter, order a cab or get a massage on the spot. Good WiFi.

For those who mind, there are a few insects going around!

The best were the views! and the bathroom with open roof in nature. The bed was comfy. Silence of the nature. very nice staff. Good menu for breakfast.

I liked everything, except the music that could be heard from a temple far away. But I think it was a ceremony day, not every day.

Good view from the room overlooking the rice fields. Room was generally comfortable.

Air cond condensation was leaking into the room with water ponding all over the floor. This is a slip hazard. Shampoo needs a top up. Bath towel looked a bit dated.
