The shack life

A real shack experience, with the luxury of a gas shower and cooker , so during load shedding , you still have the luxury of hot running water and cooking facilities. Happy and helpful staff, and the most friendly dog :)

I wish I stayed longer

Spent 5 days here. Low key place with all you need. Unique setup, quirky but we'll appointed. Hosts, especially Cecilia, were very accommodating and took care of all my needs. Located slightly outside Heidelberg in a generally quiet area. Will make us of them again in future.

Railway track nearby, can be a bit noisy at times.

If you like sheets which obviously have been slept in, dirty kitchen ware, a sliver of soap and squeezed out shampoo portions in the bathrooms plus used towels hanging on hooks, just dirt everywhere - then this is the place for you. I don't mind old furniture and appliances, but this was revolting and if I hadn't arrived shortly before dark then I would have tried to find another accomodation.

Loved the shack. Quiet. Nothing fancy but exactly what you expect.

Not enough toilet paper.

What a misleading advertisement online company to the apartment.The was was so filthy with cracked old tiles and broken fence. Close to the river bank and I suspect that,that could be a pythons den. The place, literally looked like a scrap yard in which I ended up making another hotel emergency booking and lost my money just like that.

Nothing at all. I think that place should be closed down to avoid human risk hazards, however, I think that place is simple for scamming people out of their money. No normal human being would love to be accommodated in that place. I real sorry, no once or again anymore.

Nice simple place to stay for the night.

I had to contact the owner twice to get the hot water pump turned on and there was no heater on a very cold night.
