The atmosphere,the room itself,great home cooked food,lovely staff,decent ales

The bathroom in the room we stayed in in the red room was a bit smelly,that's the reason why my hubby scored it a 8 other wise it was lovely

"Great traditonal pub stay in area of outstanding natural beauty"

Great traditional pub to stay in with good breakfast and evening meals. Room was large and bathroom with shower adequate. good location for Bishop's Castle and great walking area.

Warm welcome Good food had evening meal and breakfast Good value Nice hot shower Bed lovely and comfortable Nice and warm Plenty tea coffee etc... Lovely area to visit Lovely old pub Has that warm feeling when you walk in just like the old days.

Because old pub afraid sash window rattled with wind at night so woke up in the night

"Misty March weekend walking in the marches with a walm welcome at the inn…"

Great location for a walking weekend, friendly staff, fitted us in for dinner, nice lecture about the history of the inn really interesting. Nice touch providing ear buds (room was over the bar) but slept well without them. Nice buzz in the bar with friendly locals. Good choice for breakfast….

Nothing really, great March weekend in off season…

Very welcoming. Staff all very friendly. Comfortable and cosy bedroom. Quiet despite being over a pub. Good food and hearty breakfasts served.

Bathroom was very cold. Bedroom was very warm so not a problem overall.
