Mountain Face inn

The entrance to the balcony of the apartment is breathtaking. The view is amazing. It’s clean and well taken care of. The chairs on the balcony are really nice. It’s pretty quiet at night yet fairly close to nice restaurants, city center, and most importantly various sights and activities. The biggest compliment goes out to the staff though. They are so welcoming and helpful. 10/10. Can’t recommend this place enough !

Located a short tuk tuk drive from the centre of town and benefits from the quieter area. Great views of the countryside and valley.

Temperamental hot water and spotty WiFi

Lovely location, great views, comfortable and large bed. Balcony had a wonderful view of the railway and the hills and valleys towards Ella. I really enjoyed listening to the birds and watching monkeys playing in the trees in the mornings. Breakfast was delicious every day. The 2 guys working there were really kind and helpful, offering advice and information and ensuring that we were well looked after throughout our stay here. They also have delicious speciality coffee from their cafe!

The location was great, with a beautiful view of the mountains and not too far from town. We were able to rent a scooter directly with the inn. If not, I believe it is a ~25min walk to town with steps and along the railway. The staff were extremely friendly, the breakfast was good (and big!) and I loved the balcony with the swing. I would absolutely go back!

We stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. Breakfast was tasty, and the staff were amazing – especially Lasitha, who looked after us so well. The views from the hotel are beautiful and being up on the mountain makes it super peaceful and relaxing. It’s about a 25-minute walk to town, but we usually took a tuktuk which was easy. Overall, a lovely and welcoming place to stay!

Incredible views, extremely helpful staff and delicious breakfast. Staff were so helpful with othering tuk tuks and even couriered some left behind belongings to our next destination. It was very peaceful staying a bit outside the town, a short tuk tuk or 20 minute walk to the town along the railroad

The room was basic but clean, comfortable and great value for the price
