Alright location, the room was clean. It's somewhere to stay if you're passing through.

I wouldn't stay again. The room was right above the gents. We could hear everything. The toilet door didn't shut properly, and the shower button was broken. Staff were pleasant enough but made us feel very awkward. Food stopped at 6 pm, and we'd missed that as the lady said, "Do you want a table for tonight".....so we'd unpacked and came back downstairs but were laughed at when we'd asked again about it. We went into ulverston for food and so glad we did, recommend the Rose and Crown for the best roast dinner of your life if you go on a sunday. Overall the White Hart Inn felt so awkward that we didn't even go for breakfast. We just left in the morning plus the mattress was awful and needs replacing. If you're passing through, it'll do.

Nothing at all about the bedroom. Probably one of the worst night's sleep I can recall.

The (kitchen?) extractor fan was on all night despite assurances that it "should" be turned off at the end of the evening. The bed and the bedding was more suited to a growing teenager. I'm 5'11" so not exactly a giant. The pillows were the cheapest, lumpiest, most uncomfortable I've ever had to use. The furniture was old and shelf falling off the wall. Window casements were black. And lots of noise from the owner of the black 4x4 pick-up parked underneath my bedroom window. The owner (I think a member of staff) made no effort to think of guests trying to sleep as he left and returned after midnight, clattering around in the yard at the back. I understand the pub has changed hands recently, so maybe it's due to be completely refreshed. I certainly hope so because it's in a wonderful location and the pub itself, as well as the food, was excellent. And the barmaid/receptionist/duty manager(?) did a wonderful job.

It was very good value for money, the breakfast was brilliant and the staff were lovely. Nothing in the village at all, but it’s halfway between Coniston and Windermere so easy to get around (but you will definitely need a car). It was clean.

The bed was very old and lumpy, with pillows that were super lumpy. There wasn’t a shower in the bathroom, just a bath. Even a shower nozzle on the taps would have been okay.

Food was brilliant. Staff excellent. Lots of parking. Good entertainment. Lovely pub.

We had a comfortable stay with a warm welcome. The food was excellent, and the breakfast menu had a wide variety of options. Although accommodation was basic, it was clean and comfortable, which is all we required. We would happily stay again.
