The Middle Pub

Staff was friendly and facilities were clean.

I was told it's a quiet place but the party was in full swing till late at night.

Great location , very comfortable room and beautiful bed, large space.

Abit noisy from bar down below , and stairs to upper level a little dangerous in wet weather.

I liked how the staff, eventually, agreed to transfer my booking to the mullum motel, which was only about $30 more a night but much better facilities. They manage both so I don’t think it’s bad for me to say I recommend the motel over the pub. The motel has air conditioning, a bar fridge and your own bathroom, plus it’s quiet, which is not what my room at the pub had. But I suppose if you really needed a place to sleep and have ear plugs and this was the only thing available, it’s okay.

It’s very loud. Not just with pub people but other residents slamming doors and talking on Saturday night, and also a very loud buzzing sound right outside door. Maybe it was the air con unit or something. The booking website said it had air con, when it didn’t. Some of the smaller rooms have dodgy looking air cons in it. The room was also really dark. No windows out to the sun. Just a window out to a deck through a door. I am grateful though that I got to transfer to the motel though. The young receptionist was not the most warm and kind and at first said yes to the request to transfer my booking and then said no. But then she called someone else and she sorted it for me, so I’m grateful for that, just needed patience and persistence.

Great location, easy access, easy parking.

We locked our room key in our car and our car key in our room (silly I know) but when we tried to let staff know, they were unavailable, I stood waiting at the counter for the rooms for a good 10 minutes to be completely ignored by bar staff. When I got their attention, they just looked at me and shrugged and pointed at the bar crowd . we also tried emailing and calling to no avail. The only way we got into our room was asking the cleaners at 2 am to let us in. The other really annoying thing is only one key per room with four people in it and having to use the key to go to the bathroom. This is how my friend managed to misplaced our key in the first place. Please consider leaving the upstairs bathrooms unlocked for patrons or providing more than one key for rooms that have more than one person

Very clean, comfortable room and amenities. Accommodating staff. Excellent location.
