The Middle Pub

For such a busy and noisy area, the Middle Hotel was surprisingly peaceful. Despite the lively atmosphere outside, our room was very quiet, which allowed us to relax and sleep well. The room was also spotless and clearly well maintained. The bed was extremely comfortable, making our stay even more enjoyable. We didn’t have the chance to eat at the hotel because we arrived late in the evening. However, there is a pizza bar just across the road, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The food was delicious and convenient after a long journey.

building has great character. staff is friendly. the place is lively, lot's of locals around.

the noise was to be expected (you're staying above a pub after all). wildly disappointing though, was that the communal areas (hallway, stairs and balcony) don't seem to have been cleaned in years. all bathroom doors were broken (impossible to lock unless you lift the door of its hinges), broken tiles in the showers, dirty toilets, etc. cockroaches in the room as a cherry on top!

Funky old bunkhouse saloon, very chill vibe. Don’t expect any frills. Loved the thousands of lorakeets that come to roost every evening.
