"A refreshing break during 2 days of travel."

Worryingly, the advertising pictures misrepresent reality. The hotel is dire need of refurbishment, general maintenance, deep clean and a lick of paint. We booked the Aldon (?) room - the best room - and left after 15 mins. I cannot comment on the restaurant or bar as we did not stay long enough.

Staff were very friendly and attentive Food was good

Bathroom was tiny - not what I expected Bedroom was small but I should have realised this beforehand as the hotel is an old country house .
