"Really comfy bed, nice location, a bit tired looking."

The bed was really comfortable with a large and a comfy mattress. Fresh milk for making tea/coffee was available from a mini fridge in the corridor which I really appreciated. The staff in the bar downstairs were very friendly and welcoming. We didn't use the restaurant but had a really tasty pint of beer from the bar. I would stay again if in this area.

the bathroom could do with a bit more attention eg around the shower screen. The macerator for the shower & loo was a bit noisy. But overall for the price point we had a very comfortable stay.

"Hotel is old and decrepit, nothing like what is shown in the pictures"

Breakfast was really nice and the service and staff were excellent

Unfortunately I was called back to Essex for an urgent MRI scan after our first night. I explained this the owner, who said that they would contact Booking.com and refund the extra day and breakfast that we were not able to use, after deduction of booking.com's expenses. I have never received a refund, even though I sent various emails, but atter an email via Google today they have now refused any refund, a really caring and considerate host.

Owners where really nice and help.

The room was tiny and wasn’t in the best condition, the shower didn’t have no power to it , single glassed windows with no heating that worked. Also bed was so uncomfortable.

"Great stopover pub"

Staff are friendly and helpful. Plenty of free parking on the streets near the pub. We had our evening meal which was delicious & freshly made. Lovely range of choice too. We had to leave too early to be able to get breakfast. The room was large & clean with complementary tea & coffee which was appreciated. The closeness to the le Shuttle is great. Would definitely stay there again. It’s a great stopover pub.
