Ocean Breeze Inn

The balcony was nice and spacious and faces the ocean so we could hear the waves faintly. It was quiet at night and could hear all the wildlife. Crickets and birds.

We didn’t realize there was no air conditioning, the room was very tight and no housekeeping. We were expecting more of an “inn” than an airbnb but without all the normal amenities. There also wasn’t a television which was surprising.

Quiet. Close enough to ocean that we could hear the waves with the door and window open. Very relaxing.

The location was quiet and peaceful off the main road. You can see a bit of the ocean and hear the waves from the unit. 3 minute walk to the ocean. Andy is an excellent host. Bed was good firmness, quality sleep. Free coffee provided. Place was clean and new.

We came to visit family and this was the perfect place to spend the night but go to their house for gatherings. The ocean breeze and surf crashing was very calming. The walks along the cliffs were great.

Easy check in. Good communication by host. I fealt very safe staying at this property. Nice private deck to sit out on expanded the space a bit to seem less cramped.

Room size was small but I spent little time in the room with the exception of sleeping. Nice size deck to sit out on gave the room a little more space.

We loved the contactless check-in. We checked in around 9pm and it was very simple and a wonderful stay. Our host, Andy, made sure to send directions and was very helpful and quick to respond. We didn’t even run into the other guests while we stayed, it was perfect. We also LOVED the laundry area, well kept. Our room was so comfy and cozy for 2 people. It felt like we were at home. I can’t wait to book with them again.

If I had to complain (which I don’t want to because it was amazing) I would say the room was a bit hot. While we could prop the door or use the fan that was provided, there were a few mosquitos that got in and the fan wasn’t very strong. Seriously though, that is what staying in Hawaii is like so no problem.

We had a lovely welcome from Andy and the directions we were given were perfect . The apartment was spacious , very well equipped and spotlessly clean . The sound of the waves from the nearby seashore was amazing .The location was perfect for visiting the volcano national park and we recommend joining a trip to the summit of Mauna Kea . We would highly recommend choosing to stay here and do go and look at the beautiful sunrise at the point about 2 minutes walk away .
