GBIn the bar, a polite notice on each tank set out rules for dog owners, eg no dogs on seats, keep dogs on short leads - such a good idea - in some places, dogs are a real nuisance
Low ceiling and bathroom down the corridor- but I was told about this in advance and I only hit my head once!
GBA gorgeous old pub with a tonne of character, set in a beautiful village surrounded by stunning rivers and hills - lovely, friendly and welcoming staff - and two real fires bringing the cozy! A group of really great musicians play every thurs, which is such a lovely addition. I was made to feel very at home (the landlady even checked i was warm enough as it was a snowy few days), and enjoyed amazing breakfasts and a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the evenings. It was very hard to leave - I hope I get to return again before too long! 🌄

Main course on first night I ordered fish and chips but couldnt eat it all as it smelt and tasted funny.
GBThis was our third visit to the black Bull and we love the friendly cozy atmosphere of the coal fire and the village its self is so welcoming and stunning. Loved the food and the buskers made our stay. All round great little pub with friendly staff
One thing that was a bit disappointing was the toilet in the room was very cold and would benefit from a heater in the colder months
