Dinner was average, staff very average apart from really nice breakfast lady but continental breakfast not very good

This Inn is excellent for those seeking a different hospitality experience and in a total different environment to that of a typical hotel in towns or cities. It is almost like renting a centuries old cottage in an idyllic rural environment. I liked the very rural feel this accommodation gives you. I also liked the location of this Inn, in the square of a tiny, tiny village called Beeley. This allows for some safe walking rather than had the property been on one of the narrow countryside roads. I also liked the fact that hotel accommodation is split into different buildings (cottages) which offers a lot of privacy and parking space. The buildings are heritage ones with the old leaded windows, rarely kept these days even in old buildings.

There is no night receptionist; for a 5 star inn, in the middle of the countryside (nowhere) this is not acceptable. Only a telephone number where to call in case of an emergency. F&B facilities are very limited and breakfast heavily inclines on English breakfast components and very little else. Bathroom was tiny with barely little space for a small person to manoeuvre. It had no bath but a shower cubicle barely fitting one small person.

The lovely cosy atmosphere, perfect on a cold winter’s day. We had dinner and breakfast, both delicious and always served with a smile. The 3 rooms we had were comfortable, spotless and well equipped. Above all the staff were friendly and helpful.
