Jolly Sailor

A wonderful village with very friendly and helpful people. I discovered that the area is steeped in history dating back to the 12th century. Much to discover and explore.

All good.

Room was much larger than expected. Bed was very comfy, very good sleep.

Hotter water for shower would be better. Although shared bathroom not ideal, it is still value for money. Help yourself kitchen , plenty of bread porridge, fruit and tea to help yourself.

Overall it was simply the welcome and hospitality. Been to grander places which were soul-less but if you want Yorkshire, it is here. One of the best dog-walking areas nearby too, lovely village.

The weather but Kathy could do nothing about that.

We knew Breakfast was not available at this hotel when we booked it but just a few doors away was a lovely cafe that did us a wonderful breakfast. We ate pizza in the evening cooked at this hotel it was very tasty.

Nothing from what was being offered, we did miss a en suite though.

The staff were lovely, very attentive and helped me when i needed to book a taxi. Lovely friendly atmosphere. The room was clean and tidy, as were the kitchen and wash facilities.

Not the fault of the pub but parking was very sparse. Lots of double yellow lines and it gave the impression that most parking was taken by locals. Phone signal for ordering taxis was dire however i was given the wifi password by the staff so problem solved.
