"Excellent"

Located in the heart of the town, a beautiful old building restored to a very high standard. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast served till 9.30am with a good choice of hot and cold food, choose from the set menu. Kettle and good selection of tea and coffees were provided. We were room 5 which overlooked the car park. The room was small but fine for our stay. Just be aware it wouldn't be suitable for anyone with mobility issues, as the floor slopes down towards the bathroom door and could cause a problem, but we were fine with it. This is all part of being in a building that has stood there since 1657.

Had to ask daily for extra shower gels as they use small single sachet ones and only provided 2 at the start of our stay. I would much prefer a refillable pump as it's much more economical and environmentally friendly. I did ask about this and they said all single pouches are recycled. Our room had a bath with overhead shower which struggled to get as hot as we like it, one night it didn't get hot at all. We would stay again as its in a lovely area.

Fantastic location- breakfast was amazing, well equipped room, comfy bed.

Parking on site can be a little cramped but plenty of options close by

"Brilliant stay!"

Location great, staff very friendly. Booked a standard room which was very comfortable and had everything you needed. ( felt more than standard) Had an evening meal and breakfast, both were excellent. Very pleased and would not hesitate to book again. Definitely recommend

Room was very comfortable and very roomy with plenty of space for luggage. Bathroom facilities were clean and well maintained. Breakfast was wonderful with excellent selections and cheerful staff.
