No shower, banging water pipes, creaky floor - yes it’s an old building, dirty pants and socks on stairs as I left

Very comfortable. Fabulous old pub environment. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Very central. Super restaurant opposite the pub.

Lovely people. Ann was very helpful, typical north country welcome. Excellent well stocked bar for drinks in the evening, even a fire in the snug. Thanks Michael.

The double bed was not comfortable!! Shower unit very loose and sprayed outside the bath area.

Perfect location - very easy to access all of Durham. Bedroom was newly decorated and very comfortable. Bathroom was spotless and shower was hot and powerful. Generous tea and coffee tray, bottled water, tissues, biscuits…. Room freshly made up each day (and cuddly toy treated with respect and biscuits!)

A tiny fridge would have made it totally perfect.

We love his property and the pub below. The staff are out of this world friendly and helpful. Lovely rooms.
