A place where you would like to go back again and again. The room, the surrounding, the staff, the food - all excellent. Also a perfect place to stay with whole family, mainly if you plan short trips to many turistic attractions around, like famous monasteries, Polovragi cave, Calimanesti, Govora and so on.

The hotel is a historic building on a large, park-like piece of land just outside a small village. The area is very quiet and ideal if you like nature and a peaceful setting. The building is very charming and the rooms spacious and lovely. There is no restaurant, but they offer a choice of two meals on a self-service basis, so you can eat as much as you like, including dessert and fruit. We had dinner twice on the terrace and the food was excellent! We stayed two nights and it was the best accommodation on our 3-week holiday in Romania. It is an ideal starting point to visit the UNESCO monasteries nearby and the Culen in Maldaraesti, but you need a car.

There was nothing we did not like.

The location is wonderful, really quiet setting. The staff were generous in their hospitality and provided great food. Breakfast, lunch and dinners are all available and is traditional Romanian style home cooking.

Unfortunately there is a problem with flies on the site, due to summertime and animals. This needs to be managed better especially in the dining room. That's the only issue.
