Our room was spotless, bed was comfortable and the food was exceptional 10/10

Nothing, we had such a great stay

Excellent location in a quiet little village opposite a lovely church. The George and Dragon is a typical village pub, warm and friendly, where many locals pop in for a pint and a chat. We stopped for 2 nights, with both breakfasts and evening meals being excellent. Our room was very comfortable and clean, looking out to the church. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay, and would definitely book again if we return to the area.

Very friendly, low key and breakfast was excellent. Pub was very cosy and welcoming- in a very traditional British way

Room was little on the small side but everything I needed was in the room and it was very clean

Gorgeous property full of character and charm . The food was exceptional and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The bedroom was well equipped, clean and homely

We loved the cosy bar with the open fire and the fact you could choose which room to eat in

Liked it all room was very clean and everything we needed pub ant the food was lovely staff very nice breakfast nice too

Wasn’t anything we didn’t like

I would thoroughly recomend The George and Dragon. Everyone was extremely welcoming and the food was superb. I stayed in the room directly over the bar. It was well maintained, very clean and had everything I needed. There was a very slight background noise in the early evening when the bar was full but It was hardly noticable. The birdsong in the mornings was louder! There are rooms away from the main building if people are sensitive to sound and the staff are very accomodating to specific requests. It was overall a really nice place to stay if you intend on exploring Rutland and the local area.
