The Tides Inn

The owner/manager was very kind and accommodating! The suite was very comfortable and spacious! Amazing location near shops and restaurants.

Terrific location to explore Seward. Warm welcome received from reception and allowed up to store bags pre and post checkout. Simple but Cozy unit (# 6) slept 4 adults comfortably. Spotlessly clean.

No tea kettle

The location was perfect walking distance to Resurrection Bay, food, and stores downtown. The open concept was great for socializing and common space for conversations and braiding hair. Parking was available very close, the bed was comfortable, and the temperature was perfect. We also liked that the window opened for some fresh air. No tasks were needed for check0out which was perfect since we got up early to fish.

We did not try the tv and we got up too early to fish so we did not partake in any breakfast food. Check-in was easy and there were no issues thankfully, with the phone call to check-in. I would change that in case service or a phone was dead by emailing the check-in information on check-in day so the customer at least knows which room is theirs.

My sister and I stayed at The Tides Inn for one night prior to a cruise. Staying at The Tides Inn was like staying at a family cottage. There were 2 comfortable beds in separate rooms and a comfy couch from which we could watch Netflix on the tv. We arrived on the train in the morning and the staff was very accommodating, allowing us to place our luggage in the room before it was ready so we could explore the town. There is a free shuttle in Seward which we took from the train station. It stopped a short distance from The Tides Inn. We purchased muffins at a local store and had those for breakfast in our room. If you like the idea of staying at a cottage-type facility instead of a hotel room, this is the place for you.

We had no issue with this but due to the steps, this may not be the place for you if you have mobility issues. Saying that, it's possible they have a more accessible room that we did not notice.

The location is right in the center of the town. Many activities are in walkable distance. This property implements non-staff in the property, but accessible with phone calls-pretty good idea.

The supplies are insufficient.
