The food was delicious, a great breakfast. Friendly staff and locals. Great location for exploring. bus stop right outside

Breakfast and dinner were very good.

I had booked for 2 nights, but because I had to leave 1 day earlier due to cancellation of my boatticket due to bad weather, I tried to cancel my second night. I requested to waive the cancellation costs, by contacting both The Captain and Booking.com, but from both of them I received no answer.

The staff were brilliant, kind smiles always, helpful and went above and beyond to sort our problems.

The rooms. The first one had problems with the telly, so we moved to a tiny room with a very noisy door to the toilet, then to a larger room which was better. We chose this hotel because there was a bus stop outside it. That was closed. We were not aware of that when we booked.

I loved the warm, friendly staff and locals. The food was good, and the breakfast had a great selection to choose from. The pillows were the best I've slept on .

On the whole, there was nothing to dislike. The decor was a little dated, but my room was spotlessly clean

Quite noisy heating system (room 5), the owner said he would get the maintenance guy out to look at it , nothing changed .I put up with the noise (a constant rushing water sound ) luckily i had earplugs with me . Also the heated towl rail was on constantly and the control knob was broken , again nothing changed although i had pointed it out. I realise these are only minor things and i did enjoy my stay but maybe those little things should be addressed.

The breakfast and the cleanliness of property.

It was a little off the beaten track. But did have bus stop outside which helped once used to timetables of buses.

Great staff!

I appreciated the breakfast inclusion and tea making facilities within the room. The staff were helpful and the bed comfortable. Under normal circumstances I expect the location is quiet and on a convenient bus route for the German occupation museum.

They could do with a bell as on all three mornings it was difficult to locate a member of staff.
