Lovely setting, friendly and offers a great service.

Bed was a small double, so expecting a smaller bed which was too small for us.

Staff were very, very helpful.

Location was difficult to access without a car.

Lovely comfy bed. Great selection of teas and coffees in the room. Excellent parking. Great location. Brilliant restaurant/pub, with GREAT food! I had the vegetarian pie...amazing!!

WiFi was intermittent at best, not good. I left a 'please clean this room' sign on the door handle, and when I returned that night, the sign was still in place and the room hadn't been cleaned. Room size was OK for a 1 or 2 night stay, any longer and it would feel confined. No storage for clothes if staying for an extended period.

Room spotless, pub bar, and restaurant ambience really lovely. Food tasted good.

Service at Saturday breakfast was painfully slow. We had tickets to watch racing, and there was only one staff member on who seemed overwhelmed. For four tables, one member of staff was insufficient. We went down earlier the second morning, and I asked to order our breakfast immediately, or we'd have had the same thing. There was not enough staff serving during the evening on Saturday either. We were offered a pudding menu, and then it took 20 minutes to take our order. The food is great, but the service is slow. We would return, but go to breakfast at 7.30 to avoid this issue.
