Lovely staff, very friendly and welcoming. Spacious room. The accommodation was perfect for my travels by bus and ferry. The village had a couple of shops for provisions and a couple of other public bars.

I thought the mattress on the bed was a little hard and a little uncomfortable.

Friendly staff

To be clear this star rating is based on the fact we were vastly overcharged for our room. The staff were kind and friendly and the food good but we were bitterly disappointed with the room having paid £120. The rooms are clean but dark and dated and definitely not worth this price. On the day rates were £70, a fair price. If traveling outside of peak times I would urge others to book nearer the day if possible, to get a reasonable rate and not left feeling overcharged.

Everything, staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. :-)Room was clean and cosy. Breakfast was lovely and the place is just lovely to look at from every angle.

The staff were brilliant, and went above and beyond waiting for our arrival during a storm. Lovely breakfast and they even made the dog scrambled egg. We cant thank you all enough.

Friendly staff and excellent food

The restaurant manager was constantly chewing gum , often with her mouth open...very off-putting. Also she was wearing an apron which I would use for washing up. The bedroom was too small for one never mind 2 people. There was only a foot of space at the bottom of the bed and a protruding light fitting which was hard to avoid. There was no room for a second case had there been 2 of us. I had to call a member of staff to close the dormer blind as it was too high to reach without standing on something which I would struggle with. This would have been better advertised as a single room and priced accordingly.
