Murray Arms Hotel and Seafood Restaurant, Orkney

What a wee gem the Murray Arms is, and so close to the ferry when we arrived late in the evening. The staff were amazing, our accommodation was wonderful and the food was fantastic!

The staff were amazing. Room was small and quaint but comfortable. Seafood dinner was lovely.

The walls were a little thin as you could here people packing their suitcases to leave. Still, that isn't enough negativity to not stay again as I would happily stay again.

Friendly staff, good food. Location about 20 min from Kirkwall. There is a bus if you want it. You are at most 1 hour drive from anywhere on the island

Our room was warm, comfortable and quiet. We had to leave for the ferry before breakfast but were provided with a snack to take away.

We arrived in Orkney 2 days early to beat the arrival of storm Amy so had not expected to stay at the Murray Arms. Susanne and the rest of the staff were very friendly and we were sad to move to our booked cottage for the rest of our Orkney stay.

We used to work in the travel industry and all things considered, Susanne and the rest of the staff are first rate.
