The Boathouse

The Misses treats you more as familly member then a guest... super friendly and real good food... perfect location for the sinrise ;)

De location is the best you can get. Lying in your hammock near the River. Who wants more. The food is very well prepared by Buntip, the lady of the house. And you had different choices for breakfast. The pancake is delicious. Buntip took also care of the bus to Pakse including the taxiboat which picked us up from the guesthouse. Super Cool.

It is very basic. Cold water and a non flushing toilet. You have to do this with cans of water. We could not pay wit card, happily we had enough cash.

Extremely kind hosts, basic ameneties, delicious food and a great day trip exploring the mekong with Mike.

The bungalow is very beautiful, good scenery with river front view and hammock, and peaceful place. The reality is more beautiful than in pictures. The owners, Mike and his wife, are very nice, friendly, and helpful.

It is pretty far from the restaurants and shop which I need to walk in the dark in the night time. But, if you have bike or motorcycle, it is not an issue.

The location is directly on the river and the bungalow has a nice balcony area with a hammock which is nice to chill on and experience island life

The boathouse is a 30 minute walk away from the top of town. We were provided two options to get there, either walk down or to be picked up by boat. We agreed that we would call when we arrived to be picked up but no one picked up so we had to walk down in the midday heat - great exercise for the day at least! The toilet is a manual flush, which I guess is to be expected on the island but it would have been nice to have some soap provided, luckily we had a few bars. The water coming out the sink and shower was brown, assumed from the Mekong, which again is to be expected from the island but just something to know We didn't receive any information on arrival regarding things to do on the island, WiFi password, what time breakfast would be available etc. Maybe a on pager in the cabin would be helpful

Great hosts. We had a amazing time talking with them and get to know more about the life there. The food is incredible good. If i come again to this area i stay there again. For sure.
