Great spot right by the river to sit and watch the Mekong flow by. Simple adequate accommodation. Excellent value for money. We rented a motorcycle from Don Det village immediately off the ferry so had no problem getting around.

Smelly river water in the shower but apparently all properties on Don Det are the same. Maybe they ran out of chlorination. Not welcoming in the restaurant area and seemed to be little in the way of food but no problem for us as we have the m/c.

Amazing friendly hosts - thank you so much Tip and Mike for a wonderful stay. We loved our little cabin by the river so much we extended our stay an extra night, wish it could've been for another week! Peaceful location but within cycling distance to all the island's cafes and restaurants as well as the Li Phi waterfalls. Basic facilities but we didn't need anymore and it was great to have a more authentic and relaxing stay with a lot of time spent swaying in the hammock and enjoying the beauty of nature. Amazing spot to watch the sunrise every morning from the hammock and do a bit of yoga on the patio 🥰

Nothing! Would absolutely recommend to anyone as long as they don't have high expectations of a 5* hotel, it is an island afterall

The view was perfect if you want to spend the day relaxing in a hammock. Located out of town so quiet. There was a very friendly cat who tried to move in to the bungalow with us. Bikes available to hire and staff were helpful.

The plumbing was super basic and running water was pumped straight out of the Mekong. No flushing toilet. Only a fan in the room so it could get quite hot. When paying we were surprised with “The Don Det exchange rate” and ended up paying more than booking price.

It's quiet and chill. The bed was good and there was a mosquito net. The views from the balcony.

No hot water, the water coming straight out of the Mekong. It could have been cleaner inside of the Bungalow. The chair in front of the bungalow was broken so unusable. The food was not great. By knocking on the door the lady woke me up very early in the morning to ask me to pay - cmon, that could have been done the moment of arrival.

Loved it! Such a great stay never wanted to leave. Felt so welcomed and relaxed. Great food, had bicycles so we could cycle around the beautiful island. 100% recommend

- The host was fantastic! Very friendly, chatty and kind. - The food at the restaurant was incredible. Big portions and really tasty. A variety of Western and Laotian as well! - The beds and pillows were comfy. The mosquito nets were good without holes. - The view from the cabin was great and the hammocks were nice to relax in. - We had read other reviews about the water not being clear, but when we stayed the water ran clear from the sink and shower.

- The cabin could have been a bit cleaner. The floor and on top of the mosquito nets were a bit dusty. But the bedding, towels and bathroom were clean, so it was clean where it mattered.

Staff - she is fantastic, welcoming and great cook - great food cooked to order. Location - right on the river Building - felt like Robinson Crusoe

This is a minor issue that some might find off putting. The bathroom has a small gap at the top, this is next to the neighbouring bathroom and room. So you can hear everything they do. Also some people may have safety issue with this.

Authentic small little bungalow straight on the river bank. In front of the bungalow you have a private area with hammocks to enjoy the sunrise over the Mekong. The restaurant and terrace are just a few steps away and they serve fresh food and drinks all day. Very welcoming host! The location is a bit away from the “busy” area but if you take a bike it’s only 15 minutes to get there. Perfect combination of quiet island life and the lively island scene! Wifi is stable!

Nothing big: the bungalow is basic but has everything you need for a couple of nights.
