The Boathouse

The room with balcony faced the river. There was restaurant there in main building across path.

If you are a walker like myself distances are quite far. You really need to hire a bike to get around.

The location of the room right by the river with hammocks and free range animals was spectacular.

Great spot, in front of the water. Calm and peaceful. Not in town but better like this :)

Nothing. I had booked for two nights but I left after 1 night only.

The place is far from the main market of Don Det so expect no food or any movement after 7 PM. The bathroom doesn't have a bidet or flush. Their own restaurant closes at 7:30 so you cannot order anything in case you get hungry at 8 PM. It is not even cheap. The price is equal to the next hotel that I booked in Don Det.

The owner is very kind, the place is very quiet, easy to get to the center or Khone island, the owner's daughter cooks very well.

The owner had a disgusting attitude. Upon arriving she tried to over charge us stating it was 690,000 kip when on Booking.com it was 639,000. Our room wasn't cleaned for 3 days which meant we had rubbish piling up. She refused to organise transport form the accommodation to the port because we didn't purchase our onward tickets from her making a 63 year old man walk over 30 minutes in extreme heat. This woman is awful and honestly would not advise supporting her business she is a cheat once she gets your money she doesn't even care only how she can get more money out of you. Just be warned there is only a fan in the room, so they get extremely hot. The furniture outside the bungalows are in disrepair and ripped several pieces of my clothing DO NOT STAY HERE!

Tip the owner is very friendly. Room next to the river. Wildlife is everywhere.
