Casa Love

They didn't have the single room + bathroom available that I booked, but they changed it to a larger room with private bathroom, and the extra space was nice. It was a very cute and unique open air villa overlooking the water and steps away from the beach. Cool place to hang out during the daytime with the ability to stop in at the room throughout the day if you were staying near the beach. There is a community kitchen & fridge and felt safe enough with the coded door into the house.

Maybe I missed in the description that this was not an enclosed indoor space because I was surprised to find that it was completely open to the elements. It ended up being both a perk and a detriment because you must be comfortable with the heat, humidity, bugs, and all other natural elements. The heat didn't bother me that much because it became part of the experience, and at least there was a fan, but I was not expecting my clothes, food, and other items to become moldy within the two days I was there. But by far the worst part of this hotel was that it is adjacent to a beach bar that NEVER turns off its music. Day and night, screeching club music and Mexican cultural music infiltrated the room with no way to escape from or dampen since there are no windows or nighttime noise ordinances in the city. I did not sleep one minute the first night, and I knew it would continue the second night, so I opted to rent a room at a different hotel. I am astonished that the hotel booking site gives no indication that its location is directly multiple bars and that sleep will be completely out of the question.

The property is in the heart of Sayulita. It is spacious, safe and well equipped. The manager Xiomara is friendly, kind and helpful. As a group, we found the shared spaces really great.

It can be noisy at night from the local bars.

If you would like a little slice of Mexico right on the beach, this place is fantastic. My family had the best day. The staff were fantastic.

It was central to everything, easy going, fun & friendly. The hostess and cleaning team were lovely.
