The parking was great and the breakfast was lovely

The Castle Inn is a pub with rooms and perfectly positioned next to the river and very near the heart of Bakewell. The check in was easy and very comprehensive. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a good selection of beers. The food was plentiful and really tasty.

Freezer park but remember to give your car registration. Centre of town, bus direct to Chatsworth House. Good breakfast. But most of all the Manager Jane was a star, we had an issue with the shower the first night but Jane moved us to another room so nice

Comfortable room, ideal location, good breakfasts, friendly and helpful staff I'd happily stay there again

The location- it's right in the centre of town making it an easy walk to restaurants, shops and cafe. Bakewell is also the perfect location to explore the area. On site parking was very convenient. Despite being on a busy junction, the room was quiet.

The room needs an update - the wallpaper was torn, the curtains were stuck, the paint is tired and the shower is terrible. It was also too hot but the window was jammed shut. The toaster for breakfast is useless. It took almost ten minutes to produce slightly crispy, anaemic bread. The cooked breakfast was OK, but my scrambled eggs were rubbery and inedible. The coffee was tasteless.

The room was well equipped and occupied a great central location . The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was well cooked and produce was of good quality.

Loved it - fantastic location, friendly and helpful staff, great food reasonably priced. I loved sitting in the outdoor area, in the evening sunshine with a glass of wine - and my room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Couldn't want for more 😊

Only slight negative would be the proximity of the outside seating area to our room.
