Hotel Restaurant Belvedere

The building was very beautiful very old world but suited our needs for somewhere quiet and peaceful. The room was very clean and tidy and quite cool when the weather outside was extremely hot. Although the room lacked the usual tea or coffee making facilities it did not detract from the value of the room. Having some disability myself the owner was very helpful with luggage and allowed parking close to the entrance. The breakfast was traditionally limited in choice but very satisfying. I would certainly recommend this place for anyone on short trips who are looking for tradition and peaceful surroundings.

The only thing I can think of was the breakfast could have a little more choices, perhaps boiled eggs or a bigger selection of jams. But even what was available was still ok and the service was very good.

Hotel Restaurant Belvedere exceeded our expectations. Our room was fully equipped with everything we would need, and to top it off the view of the mountains was outstanding. Breakfast was perfect to fuel you up before a day of hiking. The service was exceptional and the staff were so kind. One of our favourite trips to date. We will be back. Thank you for everything! We enjoyed how the property was located in the beautiful nature and a bit further from Appenzell town. It was very peaceful and serene. The breakfast was a nice spread of fresh breads, jam, meats, yogurt, muesli, and eggs as well as coffee and orange juice. The owners were very friendly as well.
